2:30 - 4:30 pm Visit several stations around the farm that feature Rodale Institute research projects 

McGrath Family Farm encompasses a 300-acre working agricultural estate, comprising various specialty micro-farms such as Baby Root Farm, Exit Central, The living System, and The Rodale Institute. At McGrath Family Farm, you will observe soil health practices in action, including cover crops, crop rotations, compost application, and the implementation of buffer strips to support pollinators and beneficial insects. The Rodale Institute team in California is dedicating its efforts to advancing sustainable agriculture by emphasizing the cultivation of vegetable crops through the adoption and promotion of reduced tillage practices.
